Vinification: The grapes are handpicked and specially selected for this wine. The plants are over 40 years old, which makes the fruit very concentrated and of high quality. The vinification is initially done for each grape separately and fermentation and malolactic fermentation takes place in classic open barrels. Aged 18 months in French oak barrels, after which the blending takes place between the grapes. After that it gets ripe another 6 months in barrels, this so that the wine will marry even better.

Description: A full-bodied wine with a lot of fruit, black currants are mixed with spicy notes of tobacco, cedar and chocolate. Good barrel character and rounded tannins. Balanced acid and a lovely long spicy and herbal finish.

Recommendations: Served at about 18 degrees. To drink now or in 10 years, to be enjoyed as is or accompanied by a juicy meat stew, cold cuts, red meat or vegetarian.
