Muratie is one of South Africa's oldest vineyards and was the first to plant Pinot Noir in South Africa. Located in the well-known and very beautiful Stellenbosch. The wines are named after Muratie's previous owners and innovators.

Vinification: The grapes are harvested by hand. Maceration and fermentation take place in classic open tanks. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation and matures for 18 months in French 500 l oak barrels.
Description: A light but tasty wine with lots of fruit, red currants and
cherry mixed with spicy notes of licorice. Wonderfully balanced with velvety tannins. Fresh acidity and a lovely long finish reminiscent of an autumn forest.
Recommendations: Served at 14-16 degrees. Can be enjoyed now, but will be just as wonderful in 10 years. With this, we like to eat various mushroom dishes, e.g. chanterelle risotto, truffle pasta, and also goes well with chicken, duck and game.
