Koo Loo Loo is a completely organic wine and the name means bird in Maidu Indian symbolizing calmness and purity. The grapes in this wine have grown on the slopes of one of the very smallest volcanic mountain ranges of the world., Buttes of California. One producer that has almost a biodynamic approach to producing their wine. The wine has won several awards in the United States.

Vinification: The grapes are 100% organic, grow on volcanic land
soil and has been stored for 15 months partly on American and partly in French oak barrels.


Description: A full-bodied wine with lots of fruit, black currants, blueberries and plum mixed with spicy notes of black pepper and cedar. Clear barrel character with vanilla and leather, wonderful texture with rounded tannins. Balanced
acidity and a lovely long spicy finish.
Recommendations: Served at 16-18 degrees. This wine is ready to be drunk now, but can be stored with advantage for another 4-6 years.
Drink it with red meat, preferably grilled root vegetables. Fantastic with charcuterie and cheesy pasta dishes.
